John was born and raised in Omaha, NE and attended Millard North High School where he graduated in 1989. After I graduated high school I went to Scottsdale AZ, where I managed a golf course until 1998, I then moved back home to Omaha and took classes for my real estate license and worked as a sales representative for a local home builder. I worked my way up to become Director of Sales and saw our company grow to one of the top 50 homebuilders in the country building 900 homes a year. I left that position to become the Director of Sales and marketing for a national homebuilder in Colorado. During the housing crisis the company I worked for went out of business and I moved back to Omaha where I became an owner of one of the top night clubs in Omaha. I sold that business and went back to my roots in the construction industry and started working in the roofing industry. This year my work laded me at Xcel where I have been extremely happy with my decision.


I have 3 kids two which attend Millard West high School and the youngest at Beadle middle school. My oldest son is a senior at and is into computers and MMA. My middle daughter is on the Millard West competition cheer squad that won nationals this year in Orlando, FL. Carsyn my youngest is also in cheer and fallowing in her older sisters footstpes.


I love my community, I sponsor Millard West Cheer and as a company we do a lot of Habitat for Humanity. In the past I have volunteered my time with the Special Olympics.
